Lending a hand

It’s been a tough time for all, though that’s particularly true for people on the island who depend on tourism. The economic situation is felt keenly now, and it will resonate for the foreseeable future. So, we decided to offer a hand in the form of 80 food vouchers, each valued at $100 to be spent at Knight’s, the local food and supplies store. A heartfelt thank you to the donors who came forward and made this possible.

We’ll look to doing more in the months ahead, including looking at other means of supporting families and businesses on Bequia. Best, as in this instance, is when we can do both at the same time.

We’re also open to thoughts, so if you have any ideas for providing support and relief, please pass them along by mailing me directly at glen.herbert@grenadinesinitiative.org
